a second language in less time than it tuck us to fail it.?

There's a difference between can't and won't. Granted you really never become proficient unless you speak it for more than a few hours a week.

Some people really can't learn languages the way they teach them in school. How they teach them probably wouldn't go far if you were to go to a country that spoke that language. They had 4th year Spanish students go and read books to the kindergarten kids and the spanish speaking kids didn't have a clue what they were saying. I took German and some people can't roll their R's or speak more in their throat. There are some that seem so fast I don't know if I could ever learn it. There's grammer differences, slang differences. So no.....1 class isn't enough if you are to be proficient in a language. That's why total immersion is about the best way to do it. Live, breathe and eat it 24/7.

Necessity is a great motivator for those who feel they "can't". That's why this bi-lingual business is no more going to make English speakers speak Spanish or Spanish to speak English. Ya....you might pick out a phrase here and there.....but that's not addressing all the needs for why we need 1 common language.

Heck we speak English here and you still take English classes all through school.

I love finding out new languages and making use of them with natives, i journey plenty and i have discovered kinda many, english, norwegian, swedish (they're virtually equal, and as i talk norwegian i have an understanding of additionally danish), french, spanish the ones are those i have studied. I'm local finnish speaker so that is now not obstacle to me. I might like to gain knowledge of extra languages! I ain't no tuition learner i gain knowledge of by way of motion, satisfactory method is to transport to nation and reside with locals and gain knowledge of language and paintings there. Write some thing? What you desire? I have Mercury Capricorn in sixth apartment. Other method i am emerging Leo. Wow Michael R, are you aware Finnish!! So cool any one learns it!

I personally believe that we shouldn't put no one down if they can't learn the language. Because every one has it learning abilities and disabilities. And maybe their part of the brain that controls their language learning is not that well developed. We need to stop picking on people for stupid things. Life is too short to do that.

You said it all in the 'we practice it a few hours'. If you live in a country with that language, you should be practicing it pretty much constantly.
