My boyfriend is canadian but he wants to study here in USA. he doesnt have any job sponsors, but he would like to get a green card just in case if he needs to work. there is any possibility to be resident in USA without having a sponsor even though he is canadian?

If he wants to study in the USA then he should apply for a student visa. Holders of F-1 visas are allowed to work part-time under certain circumstances.



He cannot get a green card without a sponsor.



Edit: if he wants to live here in America after he's done studying, he will most likely need to go home for a while and look for a job in America with an employer who is willing to sponsor him in order to obtain an H-1B visa.

If he is lucky he could line up a job with one such employer before his student visa expires and change his status from student to employed worker.



His other option is to marry you if you are a US citizen. Then he would be eligible for a green card through marriage, which is easy to obtain.

Well, if you married him, he'd be able to eventually get a green card but I don't think you want to go that far.
