I will soon be entering America on a Visa Waiver document. My partner (with an American Passport) and I (living in the UK with a
British Passport) intention to marry.

We would like to live together in America, and I would like to know the
possibilities of what Visa's/Documentation/Processes we will need to do this.

All help in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Get references and check into a good lawyer. They can answer all your questions, take care of confusing paperwork, and take care of everything for you. Yes, it's more expensive than doing it yourself, but unless you're well educated in immigration laws, it's the smartest choice.

So as not to complicate things, file for a K-1 visa. You soon to be hubby must sponsor you. It takes a few months to process. You will be able to enter US with a K-1 visa and marry him within 90 days of arrival. File for an adjustment of status and get permanent residency to work and study. But meantime you can visit him in the US on your visa waiver priviledges. As soon as K-1 is ready go back to UK and enter the US with it.** My fee is for you to invite me to your wedding. Lol.

I went through the process before. You DO NOT need an immigration lawyer. All they do is charge $2000.00 for completing forms that you can do yourself. It is a lengthy process. Go to Homeland security Immigration and Customs Enforcement Website (ICE) website. You can download and print everything you need there. If you have questions you can make an appointment to speak to an ICE agent. But unless you enounter serious immigration issues you will NOT need a lawyer.

You will need a fiance visa, then after about 3 to 6 months you will be able to go to the us and marry within 90 days of entering.

The easiest way to do this marriage thing is for both of you to return to your country and get married then just come to the US and fill out a few forms/get a ss# and pay taxes.

It's a little bit more complex than that so call the local US embassy in britain and ask them.

I doubt if anybody knows, this is America remember.

All we know is people crashing the southern borders, we dont know how to deal with a legitimate intelligent person that will more than likely contribute to our society. But welcome just the same and best of luck to you both .
