What country is better than America, and why?

More people try getting into America than any other country. If America is so bad then why is this happening?

America is the greatest nation on earth. You have a good point when you ask if America is so bad, why are they coming here in droves. I find that a little confusing as well. It's like I've said before. They literally kill themselves getting over here only to disrespect us when they arrive. How does that make any sense whatsoever?

It is a very naive approach to think that no other country is better than the US. different countries go about things differently. The US has an awful health service and the working classes suffer more than they anywhere else in the developed world. The attitude of Americans seems to be that they are the best and they always will be, but America only came into existence around 220 years ago so who was the best country before them. From 1500 to World War II the most powerful country in the world was Great Britain; they are not any more so why do people think that America will always be the world's most powerful nation?

The whole "America is the greatest nation in the world" thing is actually false. The problem is, though, that phrase and everything about it is indoctrination. We are actually brainwashed to believe that lie through years of false teachings about America, subliminal patriotism messages, and deliberate disinformation about any country that truly is better than America. And this America is so free nonsense, that, too, is a lie. We're free, alright. Free to do, say, and think what we're told, as long as it's ONLY what they tell us to do, say, or think. Individuality is highly frowned upon, here. Anyone who has their own personality, their own ideas, and their own opinions is considered a threat to the very fabric of what America truly stands for, mindless slaves to the system the rich and the government. And, that isn't even the saddest part. The saddest part is how far reaching these lies are. People come here from other countries because they hear the lies, too, and, falling in line with the locals, believe the lie to be true, too. Yes, America has certainly gotten the rest of the world fooled. But, cutting past the lies, we find out that we are among the worst nations on Earth.

Australia....i love my country, not only do we have some of the most beautiful scenery u will ever see in your life, but it's all in the one country. Sydney is overrated...the opera house and harbour bridge are great, but it's much like LA down-under...flashy looks, but not so great once you break the surface



Melbourne(home city and where i live!!!) is great...something like San Francisco & Chicago rolled into one...excpet there's no hills and alot less wind. Lots of culture, BIg on sport(F1, Australian Open(tennis), 1956 Olypmics, 2006 Commonwealth games, Moto GP) and great fashion,food and people.



US has some good points, no doubt. But much of it is turning into a giant Detroit/Los Angeles/New York. not such a great mix. With a government more worried about ruling the world rather than fixing the alarming amount of issues facing home, no wonder the country is going into a free-falling slide.



I like to think of the US like buying a Mercedes...you are buying a badge, probably not a better car.same with the US. people see such a good past image, yet they don't see what it really is. many are now hating the US, trying to force their views onto everybody else...it's too much for many.

Depends on what you mean. There are many countries better than the US for the general population. I believe people immigrate to the US because if they are there they are generally safe from an all out war because of America's military strength. It also means they are safe from the US itself.

America isn't #1 with the most number of people trying to get in - Russia is with 20 million a year in siberia - far away from the Kremlin but still on thier property and when they get upset who knows what they'll do.

People from the 3. world is trying to go to USA, because probably they see shiny life that is showed in the USA movies. But they do not do researches, and I think they are quite shocked when they come to USA and see how many people live like a **** in the street. People who want to get job, should go to UK. Their unemployment rate is very low.

You want to own land? Come to US and buy it! (that can slos be said of Canada and Australia, I suppose)

You want to start you business? there are plenty of people and money in the US (can't say that about Canada or Austrailia)

You want to work for a big and powerful company? We have more of them here in the US
