Cobb County police arrested Wednesday a Woodstock man who allegedly inappropriately touched a 7-year-old girl at Town Center Mall.

Officer Joseph Hernandez said the 7-year-old girl and a 10-year-old girl were at the mall with a family member when 31-year-old Andres Wilhelm Schafer, of 523 West Oaks Drive, Woodstock, walked by and touched the younger girl twice. The older child witnessed one of the incidents and notified the adult.

The arrest warrant indicates the incidents occurred between 1:30 and 3 pm on the escalator and in the shoe department of Belk.

Hernandez called the touches "disturbing, not graphic … in passing kind of swipe[s]." The arrest warrant alleges Schafer rubbed two areas of the child's body during the incidents.

Security officers detained Schafer and notified police, who charged him with three counts of child molestation. Bond was set at $200,000, but Schafer is being held on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer.

I don't think of all illegal immigrants as child molesters, drug dealers, etc. But I do consider all illegal immigrants as being criminals by virtue of them being here illegally. When we have a large number of illegals in our country, we have to assume that we're going to have some percentage of them be child molesters, drug dealers, etc.

Bottom line: these people are breaking laws by entering/staying in our country illegally. These people are also going to include some bad apples, and we can't afford to have them undocumented and in our country.

And where were the parents? They should've been arrested for leaving the kids unattended, and like the previous case..for him it is better to get deported than spending time in jail, what will they accomplish deporting him? ...Nothing ...

I say that it's more evidence that they are trully assimilating to the American culture. Maybe it's something they shouldn't.

I say this is more evidence why illegals need to be deported.
