I'm a British Muslim who has tons of family in Europe, Canada and America. My grandmother lives in Phoenix and I always visit her and my other family members live in many different states like NY and CA. I've been hearing if someone becomes president I will be banned or I would have a background check and be monitored but I don't think the US government understands that I do not like chaperones. Is it true that they will ban me

I've heard that if Trump becomes president, that all Muslims have to become gay and eat pig meat at least 2 days a week. Nor sure if that's true, but since you are on that "I have heard" trip, maybe you can figure out if that is true or not."

That being said, and contrary to what another member here uttered, Trump's initial proposal was that Muslims who hold another citizenship from a non VWP exempt country, would not be longer eligible to travel under the VWP but had to apply for a visitor's visa. So if you are a Brit and have an Iranian passport, that would apply to you, if (1) Trump becomes president, and (2) if he could pull this off.

As a British person unless you have a criminal record you apply and get an ESTA...... you seem to be making something more by your claim of being a "British Muslim" why I don't know unless you are an extremist otherwise you wouldn't even mention your religion...how many people do you know would say British Cof E or British Catholic? You know zero, your just British wanting to visit the USA, nothing more nothing less

It would be best that you stay where you are until you grow up and start putting information together correctly. Even if you get past this hurdle, there will others that will make you confused and get you in trouble. Like, you actually have to buy a plane ticket.

Unless there arw any possible national security concerns that background checks will reveal, or you are on a no fly list, there is no problem.

Dont try and make an issue out of nothing.

Right now, you are allowed. This may change on or after January 20.

You may be double or triple checked before you're allowed into the country again, what Donald Trump is proposing is to improve our no good homeland security.

This is nonsense. Muslims won't be banned, it is just press speculations. There are thousands of Muslim business people both male and female who travel regularly to the States.

You have been reading the wrong kind of newspapers.

If Trump wins the election, many people, including me will not want to travel to the USA.

I am a white Englishman, with property and business interests there,

Of course, as a British citizen you are part of the visa waiver program, it might just take you a bit longer to get through the airport.

What makes you think your family actually wants to see you? If you show up at your grandmothers and she tells you to frig off, you could be deported.
